Social Media Investigations

What is a Social Media Investigation?

With a combination of software automation utilizing Artificial Intelligence and experienced social media analysts, a candidate’s potentially problematic online activity is identified and provided to you in an FCRA compliant report to use in your hiring decision.
It does not involve you logging into a candidate’s social media with you present, asking a candidate for their login credentials, or having them make any changes to their privacy settings.

Social Media Screening – Basic: A combination of technology and human expert analytics to correctly identify a candidate’s online presence on the top five social medial sites: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest, and LinkedIn. Once identified, a one-year search is conducted for filter information. If found, a report is generated with examples, but with any protected status (i.e. age, race, color, religion, disability, health issues, marriage status, etc.) stripped out. The report provides an insight into a candidate’s online behavior and appropriateness as a candidate who is a fit for a company’s basic code of conduct, values, or social media policy and limits the risk of a negligent hire.

Social Media Screening – Pro: Same as the Basic, except the search is conducted for online presence on any publicly available user-generated accounts and profiles for the last seven years.

While we have been offering Social Media Screening reports for several years, recently we have completed the full integration between our Safe-Screen platform and the platform at our valued partner, Social Intelligence. This allows for a more immediate flow of data on an applicant to initiate the social media search, allowing for a quicker turnaround time.
